- Benzyl benzoate : An active scabicide that kills the Sarcoptes scabiei mites responsible for scabies.
- Eugenol : Often included for its antiseptic and mild analgesic properties, it helps soothe skin irritation.
Common uses
- Treatment of scabies : Apply to the whole body (except the face and scalp, unless otherwise indicated) to eradicate the mites.
- Skin irritation : Sometimes used for other parasitic or bacterial skin infections thanks to its antiseptic properties.
Directions for use
- Preparation : Take a warm bath and dry the skin well before application.
- Application : Apply the solution from the neck to the toes, focusing on skin folds, between the fingers and under the nails.
- Duration of action : Leave on for 24 hours before rinsing.
- Repeat application : A second application is often recommended 7 to 14 days later to eliminate newly hatched mites.
