Main indications
It is recommended for:
- Supportive local treatment of mouth infections.
- Care after surgery in stomatology or dental surgery.
- Action against bacteria, fungi (yeasts) and certain viruses thanks to its broad spectrum.
2. Directions for use and dosage
Use must be strictly local and the product must never be swallowed.
- As a gargle or mouthwash: Usually dilute 1 to 2 teaspoons in a glass of lukewarm water. Rinse for about 30 seconds, 2 to 3 times a day.
- As a local application: Use a cotton swab soaked in the undiluted solution to dab the infected areas directly 2 to 3 times a day.
3. Precautions and contraindications
- Iodine allergy: Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to povidone or iodine.
- Thyroid: Prolonged use can lead to iodine being absorbed into the body, which can disrupt thyroid function.
- Duration: Treatment is usually limited to 5 days without medical advice.
- Children: Do not use in newborns or infants without strict medical advice.
