Important precautions
- Prescription required: Augmentin 625 mg is a prescription medicine and must not be used without a prescription.
- Complete the treatment: It is essential to finish the treatment prescribed by your doctor, even if you feel better. Stopping treatment early can allow bacteria to survive, which can lead to a relapse of the infection or antibiotic resistance.
- Allergies: Do not take this medicine if you have a history of allergic reaction to penicillin or cephalosporins.
Side effects :
- Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and skin rashes. Taking the tablet with food can help minimize stomach upset.
Drug interactions :
- Tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking, especially anticoagulants (such as warfarin) or oral contraceptives, as interactions may occur.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding :
- Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; they will weigh the potential benefits and risks before prescribing this medicine.
