Key information
- Indication : Treats external eye infections and inflammation of the front of the eye caused by susceptible microorganisms (such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus).
Active ingredients :
- Tobramycin (3 mg/g) : A broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic, active against bacteria.
- Dexamethasone (1 mg/g) : A powerful corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching.
- Standard presentation : 3.5 gram tube.

Administration and dosage
- Dosage : Usually apply a 1 cm strip of ointment into the lower eyelid pocket (conjunctival sac) of the affected eye or eyes, 2 to 4 times a day.
- Application : Pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket and place the ointment in it. Close the eye for 1 to 2 minutes to let the medicine spread.
Note : Vision may be temporarily blurred right after application. Important safety information
Prescription required : This medicine must be prescribed by a doctor.
Contraindications : Do not use in case of viral eye infections (such as herpes simplex), fungal infections or eye tuberculosis.
Precautions : Prolonged use (usually more than 10 days) must be monitored by an ophthalmologist, as it can increase the pressure inside the eye (glaucoma) or cause cataracts.
